Working with Russell Shaw to build his brand and help him share his work as an American Cowboy Poet, I had the opportunity to photograph him in the mountains, rivers, and valleys of Northern New Mexico. This series from the Santa Fe National Forest was some of my absolute favorite photos as we captured the ruggedness of the West as Russell trudged through the oncoming snow. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to capture something truly unique.
