Editorial Waterfall Photoshoot

Raymond & Lindsi

This summer has been way more editing gigs than shooting personal projects, so I've been pretty heavily Pinning to stay inspired. One thing that's really drawn me in this summer was surf photography and vintage photos from SoCal in the 60's and 70's. There's something about the grain and black and whites that will always keep me drawn in.

Now Oklahoma doesn't necessarily have tons of clear water, but there is one watering hole that is spring fed and pretty clear. So, I grabbed my good friends Raymond and Lindsi with C&A Models to go shoot.

It was bright out and we had to adjust to some gnarly contrast, but eventually took a little hike and found a dried up spring about a hundred yards from the falls. The towering rocks and trees gave us the perfect amount of shade, and the clean gray walls were the perfect backdrop.

After a while we headed back to shoot closer to the water, these were my favorite photos. I'm hoping to soon get a Nikonos Film camera and do some photos in the water submerged with some models, but until the wallet allows it here's some pretty fun shots I got with my dad lens hovering over the waterline.
